EmpowerEd: Financial Literacy Forum at PSAU

BOF continues its commitment to financial education through its EmpowerEd Financial Literacy Project. The second leg of the program this year was held on September 27, 2024 at the Rafael Lazatin Audio Visual Center of Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU) in Magalang, Pampanga. More than 200 Business Administration students attended the session, designed to equip young minds with essential financial knowledge and tools.  

BSP Pampanga Head Mr. Mark Jason Cagalingan and Ms. Lourdes Laconsay of the BSP’s Regional Economic Affairs Office both provided insights on the importance of financial literacy, reinforcing the shared goal of financial wellness and success across communities in Pampanga. Ms. Laconsay, the featured speaker, captivated the audience with her dynamic presentation, offering practical financial strategies tailored for young adults. 

The EmpowerEd Project was launched earlier this year and has since received positive feedback. The first leg of the project was held at the City College of San Fernando, Pampanga. As BOF continues its journey to expand its CSR initiatives, more EmpowerEd sessions are being planned to help build financially empowered communities.
