BOF’s Palit Peso

On May 27, 2024, Bank of Florida (BOF), in partnership with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), successfully launched a currency exchange project for mutilated and unfit banknotes and coins at the BOF Corporate Center, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

The launch event was graced by BSP officials from the region, including Ms. Rosabel B. Guerrero, BSP Managing Director (Regional Operations Sub-Sector), and Mr. Mark Jason A. Cacgalingan, BSP Pampanga Branch Deputy Director. Also in attendance were key officials from BOF, led by President and CEO Paolo David Carlos.

The event drew a warm response from BOF clients, who actively participated by exchanging their mutilated and unfit banknotes and coins for clean, fit currency.

As part of the Piso Caravan Program, this project aims to facilitate the public's access to exchanging unfit and damaged money, ensuring that only clean and fit currency remains in circulation. BOF, Inc. is proud to be the first in Central Luzon to have Currency Exchange Center (CEC) as part of its regular services.

The project will initially run at four out of the twenty two BOF branches, namely: Mabalacat Branch, Lubao Sto. Tomas Branch, Sta. Ana Branch, and Sta. Rita Branch. The currency exchange counters at these branches will be open every Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, starting on May 30, 2024.

BOF is committed to supporting BSP's initiatives and encourages other BSP-supervised financial institutions to participate in the Piso Caravan Program. Interested institutions can contact the nearest BSP regional office or branch for further details.
